Two Indian Coast Guard ships arrived in Colombo on an official visit
The Indian Coast Guard Ships (ICGS) Varaha and Atulya arrived at Colombo Harbour today for an official visit and were greeted in accordance with naval traditions by the Navy.
Commandant Ashvini Kumar commands the Indian Coast Guard Ship (ICGS) Varaha, a 96.2-meter-long Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV), while Commandant Anit Kumar Mishra commands the ICGS Atulya, a 50-meter-long fast patrol vessel.
The visiting ships are planned to take part in exercises with the Sri Lanka Coast Guard. The tour provides an opportunity to improve professional interaction between the Indian and Sri Lankan coast guards.
